Werner Bischof in Berlin

In his brief life, Werner Bischof (1916-1954) travelled half the world to create the oeuvre that would seal his reputation as a master of classic black-and-white photography. In the autumn of 1953, he created expansively composed colours photographs in the USA. Then he travelled on the Central and South America in search of harmony between man and nature. He was killed in a road accident in the Andes in 1954. This exhibition presents many unknown colour photographs as well as a selection of his black-and-white artworks.
